Behind the scenes

Hi, I'm Ash, Founder of Brisqi!

I started building Brisqi in 2021 because I wanted a simple Kanban app for my side projects that worked the way I needed: fast, private, offline, and focused.

My goal was to develop a tool that would function effectively without internet connectivity while also ensuring data privacy. Additionally, I wanted the flexibility to sync data and access it across different devices.

That became Brisqi.

It started as something I built for my own needs, but over time it has grown into a product I continue to improve for myself and for people who want the same kind of focused, offline-first task manager.

If you choose to use Brisqi, I hope it gives you the same kind of calm, practical place to organize your work that I was looking for when I started building it.

Built by one person, with a clear point of view

Brisqi is independently built and maintained by me.

That means the product grows more carefully. I am not trying to turn it into a large project management platform or chase every productivity trend. I want Brisqi to stay focused on what it does best: personal Kanban, offline use, and a clean desktop experience.

It also means customer feedback is close to the product. When someone reports a bug, asks a question, or suggests an improvement, I read it myself. Many changes in Brisqi have come directly from real users explaining what they needed.

Built for personal work

Brisqi is designed for people who manage their own work: solo developers, freelancers, researchers, writers, students, educators, business owners, and anyone who wants a visual way to stay organized without extra noise.

The goal is not to replace large team project management tools. Brisqi is built for personal Kanban: your boards, your tasks, your workflow.

It is intentionally focused.

Why offline matters

I believe a personal task manager should not need to depend on a constant internet connection.

Your work should still be available when you are travelling, working somewhere with restricted connectivity, or simply trying to avoid another browser-based workspace.

That is why Brisqi's desktop app is built around offline use. You can keep your boards on your computer and use optional sync only when you need access across devices.

A quieter kind of productivity app

A lot of productivity software keeps expanding: more dashboards, more automation, more team settings, more notifications.

Brisqi takes a different approach.

I try to keep it practical and calm. Enough structure to help you stay organized, but not so much that the app becomes another thing to manage.

That means focusing on the basics that matter: boards, lists, cards, due dates, labels, subtasks, search, calendar view, backups, and a clean desktop experience.

What I want Brisqi to be

I want Brisqi to be the kind of app you can go to for your personal planning.

Simple enough to start using quickly.
Reliable enough to keep using for years.
Focused enough that it does not get in your way.

If that is the kind of task manager you are looking for, Brisqi may be a good fit.
